Hello everyone! I apologize I haven't written anything lately. The past few weeks have been absolutely crazy as I am now living on the Island (without electricity which makes communication much more difficult!). Things are going well and I have finally completed my planning for my fundrasing project. I will be fundraising in order to purchase books for the Mkwiro Primary School Library. The library was recently built with help from GVI, but it currently only has near 100 books in it. Other libraries in this area are extremely successful in promoting student learning. A well furnished library in the small village of Mkwiro would give the children many more opportunities to expand their knowledge. I have opened up a secure website which monitors all of the donations GVI receives at www.JustGiving.com/Nikki-Hodges . The website goes into many more details regarding the project and what the donations will be put towards. I will be sharing the website to family, friends, and school organizations in order to gain as much support as possible. If you know of anyone or any groups (work, clubs, athletics, social...) interested in donating please share my project and website with them!
So please take a look at the website, and thank you guys so much for the continued support. I know with the right advertising at home I can collect enough donations to fill this library which will open up so many more options to these kids who essentially have nothing!
